Return Items You Ordered Depending on the seller and the reason for your return, you can choose to return an item for a refund or a replacement. On this page, you can find instructions to return your item, request replacement, print return labels and learn about return drop-off options. Extended Change of Mind Returns Information: For the 2025 holiday season, most of the items purchased between 1 November and 31 December 2025 can be returned for change of mind until 31 January 2026. Need to return something? We make it easy with prepaid return options on most items. Return an item Step by step instructions: Click Return an item above. Find the order that contains the item you want to return and select Return items. Note: If you are returning an item sold and fulfilled by a third-party seller, the button may be labelled Return or replace items. Click the Return or replace items button. Select the items you want to return. Enter the quantity of items, choose a response from the Why are you returning this menu, and then add any additional information in the Comments box. Click Continue, and do one of the following: If the item was fulfilled by Amazon AU, select your return option. If the item was sold and fulfilled by a third-party seller, click Submit Return Request. Select your preferred return method. Your return label or code will be generated. Send us your return package as per the instructions provided with the return label or code. Note: If you don't see the order you're looking for, use the Search all orders button on the 'Your Orders' page to search for the order you want to return. When you return an item, your eligibility for a refund and how your refund is issued, may differ based on a number of factors, including how long you have had the item, how the item was purchased and the reason for the return. If you don't have the original box, you can use any suitable box or packaging material. Please make sure your items are well-protected for shipping. Faulty items do not have to be returned in their original packaging, but must be packaged appropriately to avoid damage during the return shipping process. Important information about return labels Each return label is assigned to a specific return. To receive the correct refund, don't include items from multiple orders or shipments in the same box. Returning Large Items for domestic orders sold and fulfilled by Amazon: Items that are being returned from an address in metro Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane: you can create a pre-paid return label using the Online Returns Centre. Items being returned from an address outside of metro Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane: you can initiate a return using the Online Returns Centre. We will provide a self-ship return label, but you are responsible for arranging a self-ship return and paying the return shipping cost upfront directly to your carrier of choice. Electronic devices: If you return items in which you've saved personal information, such as laptops, cameras, mobile phones or other electronic devices, you must erase this information completely before sending the product back to us. Please also ensure that you have logged out of any account on the device (such as cloud accounts) before returning the device. Hazardous materials: Amazon AU does not accept returns of hazardous materials. If you no longer want the item, we advise you to try to sell or dispose of it locally. To safely dispose the item, visit https://www.epa.gov/osw/hazard/ (for general items) or https://www.epa.gov/recycle/used-household-batteries (for disposing batteries) or Recycling Bin Locations - Eco Batt. Preparing your item for return: If your item(s) is eligible for return via Drop Off you'll see prepaid Australia Post or ParcelPoint return options. If your item is ineligible for a prepaid return, you will receive a self-ship label. If you need to print your return label, you can do this by going to Manage returns. Print your label and return authorisation, put the return authorisation inside of your package and attach the label to the outside. If you create a return for a replacement, a replacement order with the same shipping speed that was used on your original item will be created. You can use the return label or code provided to you to send your original item back. You'll need to return the original item within 30 days of the replacement request to avoid being charged for both the original and replacement items. Return Instructions for orders fulfilled by third-party sellers: Some sellers may need to review your return request. After the seller reviews the request, they'll provide a label or instructions on how to return your items in accordance with their own returns policy.
