Synopsis

A 90 day money back guarantee on all items except open software and media, bats, and customized products. Shipping costs are not normally refunded.

Policy Statement

“Return Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase from www.dickssportinggoods.com. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 90 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping, handling, gift wrap, or other charges.

The item must be returned in new and unused condition, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all paperwork, parts and accessories and original sales receipt (or packing slip for web orders) to ensure full credit. If returning in-store, your ship confirmation email may also be required to ensure full credit.

After 90 days, please contact the manufacturer directly.

Our Standard Return policies do not apply to all items. For a list of exceptions to our Standard Return policies and instructions on how to return these particular items please read our Return Exceptions policy.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact a Customer Service Specialist within 90 days of delivery at 1.877.846.9997. Please be prepared to supply the Specialist with the order number and item number from your original confirmation e-mail, as well as your e-mail address and phone number. www.dickssportinggoods.com will make every reasonable effort to assist you with your return. If you do not contact Customer Service and return via mail, you are responsible for all return shipping charges.

If there is extensive damage to the carton upon delivery, contact a Customer Service Specialist immediately at 1.877.846.9997. Please have your order number available when you call.

Credit

If returned via mail, you can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days of our receiving your returned product.

You will be refunded the shipping cost if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.

If an Online Gift Certificate was used, the refund amount will be applied to your Online Gift Certificate.

For online returns: You will receive an online gift certificate for the item value in return. If you are returning a portion of a multiple item order, you will receive an Online Gift Certificate in return:

If the value of the returned items is greater than or equal to the value of the Rewards Certificate, you will receive the full Rewards Certificate value back. The difference will be credited to your original form of payment.

If the value of your returned items is less than the value of your Rewards Certificate, your Online Gift Certificate will reflect only the value of the returned items.

Returning an Item

The packing slip in your package will contain detailed return instructions for all returnable items. There are two return options for most items:

Pre-paid Return Shipping (preferred method, available for most orders)

1. Pre-Paid Return Shipping

For convenient return processing on most orders, your packing slip will include a pre-paid, pre-addressed label for your return package. If returning by mail:

No postage is required. The fixed shipping rate of $8.00 will be deducted from your refund. You will not be charged postage until the return is processed.

Pack the item(s) securely in the original product packaging, if possible. Please include all paperwork, parts, and accessories. All products must be returned in new and unused condition, to ensure full credit.

Complete the return reason questionnaire on the packing slip. Remove the mailing label portion and include the remainder of the slip in the return package. Please do not tear the pre-paid mailing label down the middle perforation. The entire label must be used.

Affix the pre-paid label to the package. Before sending your return shipment, please remove all extra labels from the outside of the package.

Send your package via US Mail by giving it to your postal carrier or dropping it at a local post office or mail drop point.

2. Standard Return Shipping

If you would prefer to use your own shipping method:

Pack the item(s) securely in the original product packaging, if possible. Please include all paperwork, parts, and accessories. All products must be returned in new and unused condition, to ensure full credit.

Complete the return reason questionnaire on the packing slip and include it in the return package.

Before sending your return shipment, please remove all extra labels from the outside of the package.

  • All return shipping charges must be prepaid. We cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.
  • It is recommended that you use UPS or Insured Parcel Post for your return.
  • Keep the Return Tracking Number for your return package to monitor delivery status.

3. In-store Return

You have the option of returning your purchase in-store. Returns made in-store will be issued a gift card for merchandise only. To ensure full credit and a speedy transaction:

Pack the item(s) securely in the original product packaging, if possible. Please include all paperwork, parts, and accessories. All products must be returned in new and unused condition, to ensure full credit.

Complete the return reason questionnaire on the packing slip.

Please bring your packing slip and ship-confirm email to ensure credit.

To receive credit, items must be returned within 90 days of delivery.

Returning an Oversized Item

Items are considered to be oversized if they are heavier than 70 pounds. You will be refunded shipping charges on Oversized Item returns if the item arrives defective or damaged or if the return is a result of a shipping error. You will not be refunded shipping charges on Oversized Items that are returned due to buyer remorse. Please be aware that shipping charges can be expensive for Oversized Items.

Follow these steps to return an Oversized Item:

Package the unassembled item(s) securely in original product packaging, whenever possible. Please include all paperwork, parts, and accessories. All products must be returned in new and unused condition, to insure full credit.

Complete the return reason questionnaire on the packing slip. If returning via mail, remove the mailing label portion and include the remainder of the slip in the return package. Packages heavier than 70 pounds are unable to be returned using the pre-paid mailing label. Returns including items such as golf clubs, bowling balls, and free weights may exceed 70 pounds.

If returning via mail, contact a Customer Service Specialist at 1.877.846.9997 for instructions on arranging a freight delivery pickup for your items. Please have your order number available when you call.

You must be present at the location and time of pickup. All packaged item(s) must be at the front door for the freight driver.

To receive credit, items must be returned within 90 days of delivery.

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 business days of our receiving the item(s).

Credit for gift returns will be issued to the original purchaser.

Customized / Personalized Products and Autographed Collectibles

All sales are final for customized products and autographed collectibles. These items cannot be returned. If an error occurred in your order process or packaging, please contact a Customer Service Specialist at 1.877.846.9997.

Bats

Software and Electronic Media Products

The products below are software and electronic media products:

Manufacturer’s Warranties

Many of the items that are sold on www.dickssportinggoods.com come with a manufacturer’s warranty. For additional information on the manufacturer’s warranty for a specific product, contact the manufacturer directly.

Extended Service Plan

www.dickssportinggoods.com offers you the option to receive up to two additional years of protection against product breakdowns resulting from mechanical or electrical failure caused by defects in workmanship and/or materials. Choose the NEW (National Electronics Warranty Corporation) extended service plan on the Product Detail Page for extended coverage. The NEW extended service plan begins when the manufacturer’s warranty expires. You can choose from a one-year or two-year additional coverage plan.

Benefits of the NEW extended service plan:

  • Replacement or full refund for products under $100.
  • Full coverage of parts and labor for repairs from defects or faulty workmanship.

  • Coverage is not available for all products on this site.
  • The NEW extended service plan is not available for products being shipped to the following states: ME.
  • Extended service plans are only available at the time of product purchase and cannot be sold separately.

To purchase a NEW extended service plan:

  • If an extended service plan is available for a product you have chosen, select the level of coverage from the drop-down menu on the Product Detail Page.
  • Click “Add to Cart.”
  • Confirm your selection in the Shopping Cart (selected coverage will appear with appropriate pricing, along with the product).
