Nordstrom (and Nordstrom Rack) Return / Refund / Exchange Policies

Synopsis

There is no shipping charge on returns as long as you fill out the return label and follow the shipping instructions. Note that the Nordstrom Rack return policy has a 30 day return window, but no return window is stated in the Nordstrom return policy.

Policy Statement

FREE MERCHANDISE EXCHANGES (U.S.)

Fill out the exchange portion of your pre-paid U.S. return label and drop your exchange in the mail. You’ll receive a confirmation e-mail (for online orders) once the package has arrived at our facilities, and in-stock items will be sent right away.

EASY MERCHANDISE RETURNS (U.S.) (Excludes Gift Cards)

By mail – Processed within 10-14 business days

Simply bring the packing slip and credit card used when you placed the order to any one of our stores.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES PROCESSING

Credit Card

If you ordered by credit card, we’ll credit your account within 14 business days and it will show on your next statement depending on the issuing bank and/or billing cycle. If you have requested an exchange, your account will be credited for the return and charged for the new item.

Gift Card or Nordstrom Notes®

If you paid with a Gift Card or Nordstrom Notes®, we’ll mail you a Gift Card. If a credit card was used in combination with a Gift Card or Nordstrom Notes, the entire merchandise amount will be refunded to your credit card.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund your original shipping charges.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

International orders must be returned with a Return Merchandise Authorization form to receive the refunded merchandise amount. Please contact Customer Service to receive this form. Refunds on international orders include duties, taxes and tariffs when sent with this form. Returns sent without the Return Merchandise Authorization form may not be refunded the full amount. We cannot offer free returns or merchandise exchanges on orders shipped internationally. Learn more about International Returns.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINE JEWELRY

By mail

Please follow the instructions on the return label when returning fine jewelry. Return your package via the carrier of your choice, with return signature required. For your protection, you must insure the package for the value of the item enclosed.

In store

Fine jewelry can be returned to selected Nordstrom stores that have a Fine Jewelry department. Simply bring the packing slip and the credit card used when you placed the order.

Nordstrom Rack Return Policy

We’ll gladly accept for return or exchange within 30 days of purchase any merchandise purchased from Nordstrom Rack that has not been worn or altered and is accompanied by its original price tag and receipt or packing slip. Valid photo ID required for all in-store cash refunds.
